Iron Man 3 in 3D

A stunning visual master piece
Iron Man 3 is the latest installment in the hit series with explosive effects that take it to the next level. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)  in his role as Iron Man  is trying to track down and wreak his revenge on those who have tried to destroy him and has ended up against his deadliest enemy yet, the devious Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). But just as important as the battle with the enemy is the battle within and his whole relationship with the Iron Man in the mirror. Iron Man 3 is that rare thing: a highly intelligent movie with plenty of
big-bang action.

A well-written script with intelligent and witty dialogue
A brilliantly executed story, captivating from beginning to end
A smart and funny script full of twists and surprises
Great witty dialogue and evident chemistry between the stars

Phenomenal performances from an all-star cast
Robert Downey Jr's best performance yet as Tony Stark/Iron Man; he's his arrogant self but extremely likeable and charismatic as the arrogant genius turned super hero

He conveys many emotions though his performance including stress and anxiety after the events of The Avengers which is crafted brilliantly into the script with references to the Avengers and explanations of how it's affected him mentally, showing us as the audience how human he is and how he's just a normal person suffering normal problems. This helps us as the audience connect with him emotionally throughout his adventure in the film.

However we're soon brought back to his roots when he amusingly disagrees with his friends throughout the film. Some of the best moments in the film are the scenes with Stark and his co-stars. His relationship with Pepper has evolved, forcing her to get in on the action and his relationship with Rhodey is great to watch, especially when they are jokingly debating about the name of Rhodes' suit.

But it also develops near the end when they team up to take down the enemy and Rhodey gets in on more of the action while being the polar opposite of Stark's witty attitude in the role of the serious, down to earth Colonel turned government approved superhero, Iron Patriot. Another great relationship in the movie is when Stark teams up with a kid called Harley. This is the most unexpected but the most refreshing and new relationship. Stark having to rely on a kid brings him more down to earth but at the same time it makes the situation funnier as he still keeps his same arrogant attitude when talking with a kid.

Spectacular, mesmerising action
However, despite all of the great character moments throughout the film, the best parts of the film are undeniably the action scenes. As soon as the action starts the film goes into a league of its own, with heart-pumping spellbinding action, which is in another level like nothing we've ever seen before in any Iron man film and some of the most unique, and cleverly executed action sequences arguably ever seen within the action genre.
There is never a dull moment in the film and whenever the action kicks in the film becomes awe-inspiring to watch. Some of the most notable action sequences in the film are the house attack scene, the boot/glove scene and the Air Force One attack scene.

But without a doubt the biggest and best action moment in the entire film is the finale, when one of the biggest moments in all of the Iron Man films happens; Stark calls his legion of iron man armours, which we realise was what he was secretly working on from the end of the Avengers to the beginning of Iron Man 3 and it results in the most intense action-packed finale with Stark switching from armour to armour as he attempts to fight of the bad guys.

Another notable plus with the film is that the villains are also refreshingly new. Rather than having another armour vs. armour fight we get something completely visually different with the Extremis villains; people who are administered a serum which grants them with uncharted regenerative capabilities as well as the ability to glow with fire and rip apart iron man suits. This makes the movies fight scenes way more interesting to watch as we see how the Iron man armours have a tough job handling the fiery powers of the extremis soldiers.
